I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN and have been a Maternity/Women’s Health Registered Nurse for almost 20 years. I am a mom to 2 children and work currently as a full time Sr. Learning and Development Specialist..in other words I am a Nurse Educator, teacher, researcher and also write a lot of policies & procedures. We decided to start a small business after seeing the need for this kind of service in our community. Every time our mom friends tell one of us that someone has head lice, we hear what a nightmare it is. No one wants to get the call from the school nurse telling you to come and get your child because they have head lice. Our goal is to take a little off of your plate and work with you and your family to safely eliminate any head lice. We both know as moms, that dealing with the unexpected situations of mom-hood can be the tipping point of any given day. We want to help alleviate some of the stress that comes up with head lice & the time it takes to deal with it.

I have lived in Chattanooga, TN my entire life. I am a former English Teacher. My sister and I have been talking about a business like this for years. Our big decision to do this came while we were on our yearly family trip and all 5 of our children had head lice!!! As we sat there on the dock, (there was definitely a little cussing, asking why and laughing) right there on the main channel of Crystal River, in Homosassa Springs, Florida, each child was getting a dose of our Nit Picky Super Powers, all while boats just kept passing by waving and very likely scratching their own heads. This is the exact moment we decided we could really do this. Over the years , we have done a lot of research and had plenty of practice on our own children, friends, and even each others. We want to give you some of your time back and help to take some of the tedious out of this surprise that came your way.
